The Seabeck Regional Retreat this year will take place from June 9 to 11. Sister Vinita and Sister Dhira will be leading the silent retreat. Registration for the event opens at 7pm on Sunday, April 16. Please remain seated for a few minutes after Service today for a message from our Seabeck Coordinator, Kaushik. 

We will be joined by monastics at our Center this year for the first half of Convocation week in August. Sister Premamayee and Brahmacharini Sonia will be present with us for the Convocation talks and meditations.

The Sunday Tea Social Committee invites you to kindly join us for a Spring Celebration Tea Party today following the Reading Service. 

The subject for today’s service is “How to Fulfill Your Role in Life”.

There will be an Easter Potluck following the service today. We hope you can stay and share some food and fellowship with us.

Please join us for our services, meditations, and fellowship opportunities in celebration of Easter.

There will be a Good Friday 3-hour kirtan meditation from 7 – 10 pm on Friday, April 7. 

There will be a pre-Easter 6-hour kirtan meditation, 10 am – 4 pm on Saturday, April 8.

Easter Sunrise Service will take place on Sunday, April 9 from 7 – 8 am. It will be held outdoors unless raining. 

There will be a meditation service at 10am, followed by Reading Service at 11am, and an Easter Potluck at noon. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share. 

All of these events are listed on the Center’s website as well. 

The subject for today’s service is “Jesus Christ and His Teachings”.

Announcements for Mar 5, 2023

We will have our General Membership Meeting today, starting at 12:30 pm.  All are invited to attend to review the Center’s operations with the Managing Council. 

We will commemorate the mahasamadhi of Paramahansa Yogananda on Tuesday, March 7th and the mahasamadhi of Swami Sri Yukteswar on Thursday, March 9th. On each of these occasions we will have silent meditation from 7 – 7:45 p.m. followed by the commemorative service at 8 pm. Please bring a flower and a monetary offering as symbols of your devotion and loyalty to the Gurus. Flowers will be available at the Center also. The ushers will allow late arrivals to quietly enter and join the meditation any time from 7 – 7:45 p.m. preceding the commemorative services.

Following service today, we will have an announcement by the Coordinator, Niriksha Malladi, and we request your presence for that. 

The subject for today’s service is “Guru: Channel of Eternal Blessings”.

The Bookroom is having a clearout sale of the DVDs featuring talks by many beloved monks and nuns on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. These are being offered for $1 each or by donation. Please visit the Bookroom after the service to view the selections. 

We will have our General Membership Meeting on March 5, following the Sunday Service. All are invited to attend to review the Center’s operations with the Managing Council. 

The subject for today’s DVD Service is “Opening to God’s Love in Meditation Part 2 – by Brother Anandamoy.”

Announcements for February 19, 2023

The Bookroom is having a clearout sale of all the DVDs on the rotating racks and in baskets in the bookcase. These are being offered for a $1 each or by donation. They feature talks by many beloved monks and nuns on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. Please visit the Bookroom after the service to peruse the selections. 

Day of Service will be held on Saturday, February 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This follows the morning meditation from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. All are welcome to join in the joy of fellowship and service in cleaning, gardening and carrying out maintenance projects.

Announcements for February 12, 2023

Our Center will host a one-day retreat on Saturday, February 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be periods of group meditation, Energization Exercises, readings, kirtan, a lunch break, and free-time to walk the grounds, read quietly, or meditate. 

Day of Service will be held on Saturday, February 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This follows the morning meditation from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. All are welcome to join in the joy of fellowship and service in cleaning, gardening and carrying out maintenance projects.
