On Saturday, June 25 we will have a long meditation with kirtan from 3-9 pm to be held outdoors in the courtyard.

Please mark your calendars for our annual picnic to be held at Hamlin Park following the Sunday Services on July 10, and for our next Day of Service to be held on Saturday July 16.

Self-Realization Fellowship is pleased to announce that four new ebooks from have been published. In addition to Autobiography of a Yogi, our ebook editions of Metaphysical Meditations, The Law of Success, How You Can Talk With God, and Scientific Healing Affirmations are now available on Amazon.com and Apple iBooks. These classics by Paramahansa Yogananda can be read on a variety of e-readers, phones, and tablets and SRF will be releasing more titles in the coming months. Our Center has received a donation of many framed photos of the SRF gurus, which are available in our social room for anyone to take.  Please feel free to take what you want; they are available first come first serve.

On Sunday, June 19 we will celebrate Father’s Day with a potluck after the Sunday Services. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share.  There is a link on our website where you can indicate the dish you’d like to bring, which helps the Social Committee in their planning.

Announcements for 6/5/2016

Our annual SRF Regional Retreat in Seabeck, WA begins this Friday June 10 through Sunday June 12. Information and registration is available on our website as well as in the social room. This year’s retreat will be led by monastics Sister Draupadi and Brahmacharini Elvira.  The visiting nuns will also lead the Thursday Inspirational Service on June 9th at 7:30pm here at the Center.

On Sunday, June 19 we will celebrate Father’s Day with a potluck after the Sunday Services. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share.  There will be a link on our website during the week preceding the potluck where you can indicate the dish you’d like to bring, which helps the Social Committee in their planning.

The subject for today’s Service is: “Uniting Religion Through Practice of Yoga”.

Self-Realization Fellowship is pleased to announce the 2016 Summer Day Program for Girls from June 27th – July 1st, and for Boys from July 4th – July 8th. Children between the ages 7 – 12 and teens between the ages 13 – 18 are invited to attend. Student scholarships are available. For more information please contact Anand Balachandran. You can also find information online and on flyers in the social room.

We will commemorate the birthday of our Paramguru Swami Sri Yukteswar on Tuesday, May 10th.  We will have silent meditation from 7 – 7:40pm followed by the Commemorative Service for Sri Yukteswar at 8 p.m.  Those attending the Commemorative Service are asked to bring a flower and a monetary offering.

Please note, the Tuesday Second Coming of Christ study group will be held as usual this Tuesday from 6:15-6:55pm preceding the Commemorative Service.

Our next day of service is on Saturday, May 14th. The day will begin at 9:30 am with a meditation. We will have another meditation at 12:30 pm followed by a delicious vegetarian lunch at 1pm that will be provided. We will finish up projects by 4 pm. You may come for any or all parts of the day.  All, including children, are encouraged to attend.

Immediately after today’s Service, we will have a brief update on behalf of the Managing Council from our Center’s Coordinator Jeremy Jones.  The announcement will last less than 5 minutes.

Following the announcement, we will be celebrating Mother’s Day with a potluck.  All are invited to join for food and fellowship.  If you would like to help with the potlucks, we would love to hear from you. We will be having special services this month to commemorate the birthday of our Param Guru, Swami Sri Yukteswar. On Saturday, May 7^th we will have a Kirtan meditation from 3 until 9 p.m… On Tuesday, May 10th we will have silent meditation from 7 – 7:40pm followed by the Commemorative Service for Sri Yukteswar at 8 p.m.  Those attending the Commemorative Service are asked to bring a flower and a monetary offering.

We will be celebrating Mother’s Day with a potluck on Sunday, May 8^th. In celebration of our earthly mothers and our divine mother we welcome you to bring your mother’s favorite vegetarian dish to share. Please sign up for a dish on the whiteboard in the social room.

Announcements for 4/17/2016

All are warmly invited to attend our Second Coming of Christ study group, which meets on Tuesdays at 6:15pm.  For more information, please see the bulletin board in the social room. If you can’t attend all the sessions but would like to follow along on your own, starting point for each week’s study session is posted on the bulletin board.

Self-Realization Fellowship is pleased to announce the 2016 Summer Day Program for Girls from June 27th – July 1st, and for Boys from July 4th – July 8th. The program, held in Encinitas, California, offers a unique opportunity and environment for Youth to learn and practice Paramahansa Yogananda’s How to Live spiritual principles. Flyers are available for parents at our Information Table, as well as in the Sunday School.
