Announcements for Feb 16, 2020

We received a suggestion to consider holding weekend commemorative services in the afternoon instead of at night, in order to make it easier for members who attend who prefer not to drive at night, for those who live far away and aren’t able to come to the Center twice in one day, and for families with children. In response to this suggestion, we plan to hold the Sunday May 10th Sri Yukteswar birthday commemorative at 12:30 p.m., ending by 2 p.m.  Sunday services May 10th will be held as normal, followed by a 30-minute intermission for refreshments, then the 12:30 p.m. commemorative which will mirror the service format of our usual 8 p.m. start time. Please note May 10th is also Mother’s Day, so we wanted to give this advanced notice so you can plan accordingly. Other SRF Temples and Centers are holding weekend commemoratives in the afternoon and we look forward to trying it May 10th to see how well it works for our attendees and volunteers.
