Tax Receipts for Donations to SRF Seattle Center

SRF Seattle Center is a non-profit Corporation organized and operated exclusively for religious exempt purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. Donations made to SRF Seattle Center are considered tax exempt within the guidelines issued by the IRS.

The IRS expects tax payers to maintain records for the donations against which tax exemption is being claimed. For any individual donations of more than $250, a receipt is also required from the charitable organization to whom the donation is made. The receipts do not have to be sent with the Tax Returns, just need to be retained by the taxpayer.

If you made a donation to SRF Seattle Center of more than $250 in a single transaction, you should have already received a receipt. If you have not, please send details of your donation to srfseattlecenter@gmail.com to seek a receipt for your records as required by the IRS.

For individual donation amounts of less than $250 made by bank checks, you may use your bank statements as a record of the donation. For donations made via PayPal through the SRF Seattle Center website, the PayPal statement can be used as the documentary proof.

Please note that the above information should not be treated as tax guidance from SRF Seattle Center, always consult a tax advisor if you have questions.
