For thirty years, the Center kitchen has quietly supported countless fellowship gatherings, celebrations, and opportunities for service. Much of the kitchen cabinetry dates back to the original 1964 construction and is now showing significant wear, with limited storage, workspace, and
functionality. The absence of a dishwasher makes cleanup after events labor-intensive, while insufficient counter space can make food preparation and serving challenging. The kitchen has evolved over the years to meet the Center’s growing needs. An extended island added in 2011 successfully increased storage and workspace, but because it was installed at a different time than the original cabinetry, the kitchen now features a variety of finishes and styles. The proposed renovation offers an opportunity to create a more cohesive space.
