Happy New Year!
We will have two Services to honor the birth of our Beloved Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda. Tomorrow, Jan. 5th, we will commemorate Paramahansa Yogananda’s birth with a silent meditation from 7 until 7:45 p.m., and a Commemorative Service at 8 p.m. Those attending the Commemorative Service are asked to bring a flower and a monetary offering as a symbol of devotion and loyalty to this blessed path.
And this Saturday, Jan. 10th, we will have a 6-hour Kirtan meditation from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. with a short intermission at 1 p.m. Those attending the meditation are asked to bring a fruit to offer at the start of the meditation.
Next Sunday, Jan 11th, we will be taking down the Christmas Tree and other holiday decorations at the Center. All are welcome to help for any length of time. Please check-in with Tom Glynn, Bobbi Puckey, or Roberta if you are interested.
Self-Realization Fellowship is pleased to announce the Spring session of online How-to-Live classes for children and teens, which will be held January 24th through May 23rd. Registration is now open, and information is available on the flyers in the Sunday School Room.
We have a condolence card for the family of Shubha Ranganathan, who passed away recently. Shubha cheerfully served Gurudeva’s work at the Seattle Center for many years as a Member-at-large on the Managing Council, Reader Committee Chair, and Sunday School chair. Friends are invited to write a short message expressing their comforting thoughts and sympathy.
The title for today’s Service is: “The Grace and Guidance of a True Guru”
