Announcements for February 19, 2023

The Bookroom is having a clearout sale of all the DVDs on the rotating racks and in baskets in the bookcase. These are being offered for a $1 each or by donation. They feature talks by many beloved monks and nuns on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. Please visit the Bookroom after the service to peruse the selections. 

Day of Service will be held on Saturday, February 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This follows the morning meditation from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. All are welcome to join in the joy of fellowship and service in cleaning, gardening and carrying out maintenance projects.

We will have our General Membership Meeting on March 5, following the Sunday Service. All are invited to attend. 

Please mark your calendars. The Seabeck Regional Retreat this year has been scheduled for June 9 to 11 at the Seabeck Conference Center. 

The subject for today’s Service is “Curing Psychological Intoxication.”

Announcements for February 12, 2023

Our Center will host a one-day retreat on Saturday, February 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be periods of group meditation, Energization Exercises, readings, kirtan, a lunch break, and free-time to walk the grounds, read quietly, or meditate.

Announcements for January 1, 2023

On Thursday, January 5, we will have a commemorative service for Paramahansa Yogananda’s birthday which will begin at 8 pm, preceded by meditation from 7 – 7:45 pm. The ushers will allow late arrivals to enter quietly during the meditation, which will be followed by a 20-minute intermission before the 8 pm service begins. Please bring a flower and monetary donation in an envelope as symbols of devotion and loyalty to the Guru’s work. All are invited to a special birthday celebration with cake after services conclude.

There will be a 6-hour meditation with Kirtan on Saturday, January 7 from 10 am – 4 pm to commemorate the birthday of Paramahansa Yogananda.

The subject for today’s service is “Kriya Yoga – Royal Science of Realization.”

Announcements for December 18, 2022

We will have a Christmas potluck at 12 p.m. today following the service. All are invited to join for food and spiritual fellowship in this festive and joyful event. 

Please join us for the New Year’s Eve meditation on Tuesday, December 31, from 11:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. as we launch into the New Year. 

The 3 hour meditation on Saturday, December 24, is canceled because of Christmas Eve, and the Meditation and Reading Service on Sunday, December 25, is canceled due to Christmas Day.
