This coming Wednesday, on August 20th, there will be a memorial service for Pamela Brauner at 7:30pm in the chapel. All who would like to attend are invited to do so. 

On Saturday, August 23, we will have a long Kirtan meditation for Bhagavan Krishna from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. There will be a 30 minute break at 1 p.m. and group Energization Exercises at 9:40 a.m. 

On Sunday, August 31, we will host a special Volunteer Appreciation Event following the Sunday service featuring a delicious catered Indian meal with vegan and gluten free options available. All our dear volunteers and those interested in volunteering are welcome to attend. If you would like to come but didn’t RSVP yet, please let our volunteer at the Information Table know.

On Saturday, August 16, we will celebrate Janmashtami, a Commemorative Service honoring the birth of Bhagavan Krishna. The service will begin at 8 p.m. and will be preceded by a silent meditation from 7 – 7:45 p.m. During the meditation, ushers will allow late arrivals to enter quietly. It is customary to bring a flower and a monetary offering in an envelope as symbols of our devotion and loyalty to Krishna and the lineage of SRF Gurus. All donations from the service are forwarded to Mother Center.

The annual Hamlin Park Picnic and Potluck will take place today between 12:15 to 2pm at Hamlin Park, which is a short drive from the Center. All are invited for food, fellowship, and games. We hope to see you there!

On Saturday July 19, we will have a garden work party to help maintain our beautiful gardens, starting at 1:15 and ending at 4:30. Everyone is welcome, including children, for any length of time. No experience is needed, and tools, gloves and training in simple tasks are provided. Please bring your own lunch and snacks. Guruji said: “In time you will find Him ever with you…a God whose face peeps at you from every flower and shrub and blade of grass.”

Happy Father’s Day to all! Following service today, we will celebrate Father’s Day with a catered tea reception. All are welcome to attend in fellowship. 

We are seeking volunteers to help with the audiovisual meditation services at our Center. This is for AV mixing and setup for Saturdays and Sundays. Prior experience is not needed. If you have the desire to learn and serve, Anand Balanchandran will be teaching anyone interested following the Sunday Service for the next several weeks.

Please note that Saturday meditation is cancelled for June 21. During the week of Convocation from June 22-28, there will be a separate schedule of events at our Center, which you will find on our website and on printed schedules available in the Social Room. Please note that the usual meditations and services are being replaced on certain days by class broadcasts from Convocation.
