Announcements for April 30, 2023

The Seabeck Regional Retreat this year will take place from June 9 to 11. Sister Vinita and Sister Dhira will be leading the silent retreat. Registration for the event will remain open till May 31 on the Center’s website at srfseattlecenter.org. If you are unable to attend the retreat, you are welcome to attend the Thursday Meditation Service on June 8 at 7pm at our Center, and to attend the tea social afterwards to meet the monastics.

All volunteers are invited to join in a webinar training with a security consultant next Sunday, May 7 at 5pm, on Crisis De-escalation Training. The webinar will be particularly useful to Ushers and Greeters in learning how to manage a crisis situation or aggressive individuals visiting the Center, but any volunteer is welcome to attend. If you are interested in joining in the webinar training, please let your Committee Chair know. The session will be recorded for viewing later as well. 

The subject for today’s service is “The Power of Concentration”.
