Announcements for 4/2/2017
Beginning in April, the “Second Coming of Christ” study group is moving from Tuesday evenings to Thursdays. The study sessions will be held in the Sunday School room as usual, and will go from 6:45pm to 7:25pm, preceding the Thursday inspirational service which begins in the chapel at 7:30. The first Thursday session will be April 6th. All are welcome and invited to join.
The annual Helping Hearts Farm to Food Bank Project will have it’s Bake Sale Fund Drive on Sunday April 23rd. Please join us for snacks, sweet treats and chai. The funds from this bake sale will be used to purchase a weekly share of fresh vegetables to be given to the HopeLink Shoreline Food Bank for 20 weeks this summer. Our goal is to raise $1,300. Thank you in advance for your generosity to the people in our neighboring community. Financial contributions are welcome.
On Friday, April 14, we will have a three hour Kirtan meditation from 7 to 10pm for Good Friday. On Saturday, April 15 we will have a 6 hour Easter meditation from 3 – 9pm. On Sunday, April 16, we will celebrate Easter. We will begin with our Easter Sunrise service at 7a.m. We will then have our regular meditation at 10am followed our by our 11 am Sunday Service. We will then have an Easter Potluck at 12 pm. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share.
Our annual monastic-led Seabeck Retreat will be held this year June 9-11. Please stay in the chapel for a few minutes after the service to hear an update about the retreat from the Seabeck Retreat Coordinator Kaushik Narayanan.
